1. Introduction
MedsMate / MedicineTracker (“We”, “Us”, “App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information collected, used, and protected when you use our app.
This app stores your personal health information (medicine details, reminders) locally on your device and does not send it to any server.
The app stores the following information only on your device:
- Medicine information: medicine name, dosage, frequency, start/end dates, notes
- Reminders: medicine times, taken/missed status
- User settings: notification preferences, theme, language
- Onboarding status: first-use information
The app does not collect any of the following:
- Personal identification (name, email, phone)
- Location data
- Device or advertising ID
- Data requiring internet connection
- Data shared with third-party services
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1. Encryption
All sensitive data (medicine and reminders) is stored using hardware-backed encryption:
- iOS: Keychain Services (Apple’s secure storage system)
- Android: EncryptedSharedPreferences (Android’s encrypted storage system)
3.2. Data Access
- Your data is stored only on your device
- Data is not sent to any server
- Data is not shared with third parties
- Data is not used for advertising or analytics
3.3. Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time using the “Clear All Data” option in the app. Data is permanently removed from your device.
4. Notifications
The app uses local notifications for medicine reminders:
- Notifications are created only on your device
- Notification data is not sent to any server
- Notification permissions are optional and can be disabled at any time
5. Third-Party Services
The app currently does not use the following third-party services:
- ❌ Analytics services (Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
- ❌ Crash reporting services (Sentry, Crashlytics, etc.)
- ❌ Advertising networks
- ❌ Cloud backup services
- ❌ Social media integrations
Note: If any of these services are added in the future, this policy will be updated and users will be informed.
6. Children’s Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

The app allows you to export and import your data in JSON format:
- Export: To back up your data or move it to another device
- Import: To restore a backup
Important: Exported data is in unencrypted JSON format. Store these files securely and do not share them with anyone.
